Owner and principal editor/designer Dianne Nelson well remembers the days of galley proofs, paste-ups, waxers, drawing boards, Mayline rules, and red windows of Zip-a-Tone for photo placement. Now we work on Macs and can size our photos in Photoshop and Quark XPress—a major transition from the way “things used to be.”
